Gasification

One of the technologies we are most excited here at IGES is Gasification.  All other forms of energy production we are involved in are important and exciting but do not address the critical issue of what we do with our waste. Gasification addresses this quite elegantly turning trash into cash.

Municipal solid waste,  municipal sludge or almost any organic material that is combustible can be used in the process. The produced Syngas can be used to power a generator or turbine. liquid fuel such as diesel, methanol and even gasoline can be made using various chemical processes.

Incorporation of additional technologies such as Algae for CO2 sequestration can make the operation a carbon sink, removing significant amounts of carbon from the environment.  The produced Algae can be reintroduced into the gasification system increasing output or sold to the food or cosmetic industry.

A long term, sustainable solution that is both economically and environmentally sound. We like that!

The Technology

IGES is please to announce the addition of Dr. Murat Dogru, associate professor University of East Anglia, Newcastle, UK as a member of the Board of Directors.  Dr. Dogru is a pioneer in the field of gasification and holder of several patents on leading edge gasification technology. His addition to the IGES team provides us with a wealth of experience and insight into the gasification field. With several projects in operation around the world the technology is proven and the pinnacle of gasification technology.
